A ceremony was organised in this regard in Quetta, here today, in which the farari commanders who surrendered, were brought into the national mainstream.
The farari commanders belonged to Balochistan Liberation Army, Balochistan Republican Army, and other proscribed organizations.
Besides others, the farari commanders also included Izzat Khan, Nauroz Khan, Naseer Ahmad, Zahoor Ahmad, and Javed.
On the occasion, Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Lango distributed prizes among these commanders.
A number of civil and military officers were also present on the occasion.
Back in the month of January 2018, as many as 200 Baloch militants along with their commanders had surrendered before the authorities during a ceremony held at Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters in Turbat.
The then Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and Commander Southern Command Lieutenant (Lt) General Asim Saleem Bajwa were the chief guests of the ceremony.
Laying down their weapons, the insurgents had announced entering into the national mainstream and abandoning their loyalties to armed militant groups in the province.
Bizenjo had presented national flags and laptops to the militants’ commanders of various proscribed terror outfits. He invited the misled elements to come back to their motherland and take part in constructive activities.
